A compulsive obsession with site specificity, cultural overlays + adaptations of traditional forms into hybrid forms for emerging cultures.

My interests in architecture focuses on the interlaced relationships of the manifested built forms and its direct implications to the users within the context of a specific site. This has lead to a compulsive fascination into the adaptation of existing traditional forms of architecture into new built forms to accommodate the current condition of most cities that experience juxtapositions of multiple communities that generates a cultural overlay. Site specificity is critical in any architectural proposal. I am eager to achieving a balance between architectural theory and built work. My personal achievements during my education have motivated me to push forward these interests.

Having had work experience on projects under construction that entailed responsibilities such as direct communication with contractors and constant site visits has highlighted an entire field of experience that was not covered during my five years of architectural studies. This emphasized the discrepancy between the initial conceptual proposal and the various construction stages before the final built project, which has lead to my main aim of having a balance between working on projects that are on site as well as design work for competitions to align the importance of both concepts and the built form. I am looking for new challenges that will push my pursuit of architecture further towards this.
